That being said I understand the game is in early access right now and they're probably messing around with various ideas, but some are unhealthy for the game itself. ![]() I don't understand why we are getting a level increase when the leveling progression is pretty broken right now. It's extremely concerning to me for the health of the game that the best way to grind from 12-15 is to go farm a bridge spamming 2 abilities over and over again, especially with the level increase apparently coming with the 2nd part of Ashfall. I grinded out level 15 in like 4 days so I know the pain of the grind. Oh trust me you're not the only one thinking this. So I come here asking anyone that has played the game: what is it that makes you keep playing it? Is it anything like you thought it would be? What is your opinion as far as these issues are concerned? (if you even consider them to be issues, that is). With that being said, I don't think they'll change the way quests carry out, and, to me, that's the biggest problem. ![]() I am aware that the devs will eventually sort some of these kinks out, especially when it comes to loot diversity. There's just so little diversity as far as loot goes that collecting new gear seems almost pointless, because chances are you'll end up looking just the same as a bunch of other people. But it doesn't have that, either! Chances are you'll always see players with the same weapons and armor. But guess what? I could just shove that all under the rug if this game had one of the best things AQW had to offer: tonnes and tonnes of different gear to collect. And that's IT! This could even be forgiven if the combat was any fun, but sadly, it's just as boring and repetitive as the quests themselves. ![]() Now look back at how the whole game progresses.įrom the first quest to the last, all you do is slay a RIDICULOUS amount of enemies in order to complete a quest, with little to no change to the enemy type or the strategy you need to use to defeat it. Not only are we forced to go through the same dungeon an x number of times just so we can get to the final boss to complete the quest, but also there's no guarantee that the boss you need to spawn will be the one that actually does spawn! This means you may have to run through the same dungeon countless time just to finish a quest! One single QUEST! How is this anyone's idea of fun? I was seriously expecting the game to be more than just a boring grind, but honestly, it seems as if that's exactly what it's turning out to be, and maybe that's what it was supposed to be from day 1. However, this isn't what I'm finding the game to be.Ĭurrently, my character is at level 12, and it has been this way for weeks, because I can't find the patience to grind through hordes of skeletons at the bridge or to repeat the same dungeons over and over again. I was just hoping it would be a fun experience that anybody could enjoy, whether they it played solo or with friends. I wasn't expecting AQ3D to be the next big thing, and I certainly am not expecting it to become as popular as AQW once was. My hopes were really up for this game, and I'm sad to say that it's not really living up to them.
